Secret Feature offered free on Ron's Builds...

Post by vivekjayasheel »

REAR WHEEL STEERING !!!!

Ok, ideally Zloyd should be posting this, but I couldn't really contain myself LOL.

Got to ride his bike last night and IT WAS A FUCKING REVELATION!!!

One can get the rear wheel to spin SO easily, that a guy like me who finds this amusing, would shred through a new rear tyre every week.

Many thanks to Zloyd, and of course, in far greater measure, to Rash.

Eagerly waiting for my build to arrive... 8)

And he got me to port it up some more.

I have instructed all my customers not to give anybody their bike for rides esp during run in.
I have seen enoughf good engines get raped by total monkeys who have no control or concept of run in.
Im not saying Nav is such a guy. But a rule should be a rule.
Once the run is done its a different matter.

Ron dont worry bout it he wasnt referring to Slings bike he was reffering to Nav taking a short spin on mine. Abhi's bike is being babied pretty much ... he keeps worrying bout little things but thats fine i think its come out really well ..... its running really really rich and timings also really retarted once he finishes close to a 1000 km's Rash will get down to jetting it and timing it for wickedness.

My bike's running well pulling hard making power from 4 to 9 decimating engine parts (crank this time  ) its current setup is still tweakable power is coming on at 2 places like a switchlight and before u know it 15-20 feet and a seccond later its revved out 2-3k rpm still pulling but you need to get off the gas and get on the brakes hard to make the turn.... think we can smoothen out the power with the jetting and the timing. Prolly need a port job or 2 more to give it a little charecter.

By the way the curve you gave me 2 years back and this one on the current box is definetly playing a part in how she is making power. The first port job was the true danny spec kick ass midrange awesome roll on power topped out at a little over 7K in 6th gear wheel spin in 3rd gear if i got on the throttle stupid style. The last 2 port jobs when i had my gear box rebuilt saw this power move up the band seeing 7.5-8k in 6th wasnt hard and it depended on how the timing was set and what fuel i was running etc etc but the Danny style wheelspin power was mellowed which was expected you told me that's what would happen if i wanted more revs. But with the Digi 3 the low end power is back, Rash's also put in considerable time playing with the carb but its not even funny how much the bike's changed in the way she makes power, just one word its really really angry vicious almost. (prolly has a LOT to do with the fact that i wasnt running your drum and stuff) on the way back from rash's place i broke a signal and the cops start walking across i enter the powerband he stops and takes a few steps back and i just blast past. I will not forget the look on his face and the chuckle i let out when i saw him step back lol.

Well not enough thanks can be said to Rash (thank god he hasnt discovered sex yet) for the hours he's spent restoring her, Ron for the great bike and putting up with my tantrums(though im totally unworthy of it), Nav Vivek Sling and Ravi for letting them remind me what a nice group of bikers are like and the rides when my bike hasnt been up.

Nav bugger you pussy next time ur coming for a little spin on Revy, just be prepared for your BP to jump a bit, oh and carry extra chaddies, Vivek i might still need to borrow your red bird coz my bike is giving her dog heart attacks lol.

You jokers. Stop asking me to ride the *beep* machines in city. Bring them on open roads from me to enjoy. I'm no more a kamakazi rider.

Well you got what you asked for,
Thats one reason I no longer build motors like that.
The crank just cant handle that kind of power for very long.
Esp if its a crappy con rod.
The new Gen Rods with GP BE Bearings can handle the power much better.

Rode 2 of the glorious pune rds today (Zloyd's and sling's). Both bikes seemed really similar to the point that I was convinced that they both have the same port job. Eleanor has a different exhaust note! its more like a flangy roar. Fun started when I rode sling's bike, gearbox shifting clutchless beautifully at an indicated 9000rpm! WTF

Sling called to thank me for the gr8 build.
Heard you guys had a fantastic ride today.
I'm glad he is happy with his bike.

BTW totally OT Senthil called from Combi.
He has just spent the whole day blasting his bike around the track and its running cool and unstressed.

rode vivek's rd as well, but couldnt really push it as the brakes were quite weak! But even that seemed to have a decent midrange and low end.

Oh you guys are spoilt silly by all these fancy disc setups. A good hard affectionate squeeze is all she needs. ;) Engine-wise, the real fun begins post 5000 rpm.

Yea we had an awesome ride ...... My tacho has gone on strike .... it refuses to keep up with the engine .... oh well time to look for something that isnt cable driven.

Slings bike is awesome has a real RD buzz sound to it. Revs clean and has an awesome linear power delivery sweet engine.
