RDD Pulsar Coils for Banshee / RZ350 / TZR /Universal.

Post by chinoy »

Ok firstly why you want one.

Cause the one on your bike if its more than 10 years old is shot.?
How do you confirm this?
Mark your drum with a Pencil or Thin felt pen. Then put a timing light to the Drum and watch just how badly your timing jumps around.
Ok what does that mean ?
It means your CDI cant keep any kind of accuracy when firing.
That means your timing is jumping around like crazy.

Want further Proof ?
Hook up a scope to the pulsar signal out and watch just how bad it is.

What this means ?
Your timing is not anywhere near where the manufacturer intended.
It can follow the stock curve its suposed to.
Higer vibrations, power loss and poor engine efficency and mileage are the price you pay.

what are your options to sort this out ?
You can buy a new coil from Yamaha. Im told the price is over 150$
Even a new coil is still going to give you a signal that is based on 20 year old tech.

RDD steps in here with a Universal coil replacement.
You can not get a cleaner wave form from a Pulsar coil than your going to get with this unit.
The unit can be disassembled and put back together.
You can even change the backing to adjust the pulsar to bump clearence in increments of .1mm.
The Seating Plate also has a slot that will allow you to adjust your timing + or Minus 4 Degrees. Forget about degree keys? Adjustable timing plates and other costly methods of advancing your timing. Cause after all that your timing is still jumping around the place.

Price is 40$ plus shipping.
If you can find a better pulsar than this anywhere we will refund your money plus shipping and will allow you to post your finding on RDD.

Plug this baby on and watch how your CDI thank you by giving you rock stable timing And your finally running the curve Yamaha intended you to.
