WE DID IT.
WE DID IT.
Last time we posted these results the owner wasnt sure about what changes he had done to his bike. And there was total caos.
So this time it was decided we would get the testing done in Bangalore and there would be no slip ups.
Firstlly the bike is bone stock.
Secondlly no changes where made to the bike. To its filter to its jeting to even its air screw setings.
A before reading was taken and then an after.
Check it out.
With this proof Im ready to take on the world. Or any chalange thrown at us.
Draw your own conclusions from the results posted.
Ps: Whats really sad is that as Indians we are so used and conditioned to bullshit stories and lies that when something like this really comes along. Half the people dont belive it and the other half couldnt be bothered.
Anyway its Motors RD talk to him if you dont belive.

Moto was talking to me about it when i met him last time. The guy at the emission centre thought the machine had conked. They had to rev the engine up to even get that 0.01
Even more interesting is the drop in levels of unburnt hydrocarbons (HC).

RE: WE DID IT.
no oval thats not me..im along airport road
sorry Ron should have posted this earlier i guess. yesterday we were at rons place and discussing EGTs and then
suddenly i remembered and showed the paper to ron. luckily i had the older one as well in the cover.
yeah it was funny. the guy kept asking me to revv the bike and i did that. then this guy asked me
which bike it is, which model etc. i just said yamaha 350.
looks like he has put the type as 4S in that
i was on my way to kerala actually, and my first thought was if it was lean or something. so even checked the plugs
and it was perfect and was running damn smooth also. ran all 700km without any hiccups no heating no troubles.

RE: WE DID IT.
reving the engine to force a reading isnt fair.
But at least it clarifys that we are maintaining a perfect burn while even on the main jets.
Next phase is to richen the jets and see how it effects the output. I predict it will just burn make more power and the readings will still be low.

RE: WE DID IT.
Fixed the RDD CDI for CBZ over the weekend and rode the bike all over the city and nearby towns.
The bike feels a lot smoother all through. Vibrations are almost nil till 80 after which a little bit of vibs start to appear. Low and mid range has significantly improved with bike still pulling slightly better than before post 90km/hr. There is not much change in the top speed though but it reached there quicker than before.
Did a PUC test. First with the RDD CDI and then with the Stock CDI (let the bike idle for 5min after putting the stock CDI before checking the PUC level). Following is the image of the same (top is with RDD CDI and bottom is stock CDI).

Stock CDI:
CO = 0.12%
HC = 150
RDD CDI:
CO = 0.02%
HC = 140
Did some mileage testing as well (no mileage bottle yet). Did a flat out run (90% of times at 80+) on the highway and got a mileage of 29.91km/lt of Unleaded fuel. With similar riding with stock CDI, I used to get mileage of around 25km/lt.
Did another run on highway where I was going flat out for 50% of distance and then rest 50% around 60. Got a mileage of 37.59km/lt. With similar riding with stock CDI, I used to get mileage of around 32km/lt.
Did one run in city + highway, in my normal riding mode (speeds of around 60 with ocassional top speed rips), got a mileage of around 42.58km/lt. With similar riding with stock CDI, I used to get mileage of around 35km/lt.
