Ron You Rock.............

Post by kiran »

The Track setup for my RX 135 5 speed is complete..

The specs are :-

5 speed barrel stage 2 ported..

RDD CDI

RZ Reeds

Chinoy Filter Filter

Welded Crank

100/90 kit with lighter rotor.

It took some time to sort things after installing everything mainly the jetting and the timing.

Ron was kind enough to help me out.... ( read as I bugged him a lot )

Can't rip till the run in is over... did hit the powerband once and it's like all hell breaking loose...

Need better brakes and tyres first.. and then a chamber...

Ron thanks for taking up this for me... I appreciate your advice, guidance and help through this build...

Thats nice to hear.
DOnt worry to much about the run in.
As long as your a little rich and you dont do any long balsts.
Short blasts across the power band will help you.
Ive done some piston mods to help cool the piston. And improve oiling so dont worry about sampeling the power band.

As this is your first ported 2 Stroke Ive given you a mild port. Get it on the track enjoy it and when your ready for more power we will give it to you.

Some things you can experiment with once the run in is complete.

1. Block off the Boost Bottle.
2. Did you remove the blocking cap on the mufler ?
3. Try and experiment with RD Carbs. Or 28mm carbs.

Other points when we meet up.
After you finish arround 300 Kms bring the bike over.

I figured why it was acting cranky today... the Chinoy Filter had almost come off.. it drank 1.5 litres for 20km cause of this... and I had to push it... will fix the filter mount today... will try to remove the muffler today and see if it helps...

Run it in the first 40-50 Ks are the hardest.
Once thats done things will stablize.
Dont babby the engine.
Dont flood it with too much oil.
