Complaints against RDD. Where RDD hasnt been up to the mark

Post by chinoy »

Ok some people wonder why everybody says only good things here.
Somepeople thing its just me posting under a diffirent userid.

The only thing I can say is PM the guy making the post and IM sure he will talk to you or e-mail you.

For some reason I felt since nobody has posted anything negative against me I would post up on the things I feel Ihave screwed up on.

1. Our first engine rebuild. Nachays RD.
We figure the crank needs re-seting. I take it to the top guy in Bangaore and ask him to re-set it. (Same guy doing cranks for all the RD mechs in bangalore.).
He does the over size pin and new balls deal on me.
Back then there was no options. New rods not avalible. Replacement rods only Lamby avalible.

The crank never ran right.
It was the guilt from this experience that drove me to find things like Long rods, wiseco hot rods, and other rods that today everybody talks about casually and takes for granted.

To make it right I have told Nachays that he needs to get his crank sorted.
He will need to do what all our present customers are doing i.e. find a STD pin crank and con rods and I will reset it for him free of charge.

2. The first batch of CDIs.
We where using the Combo CDI plus HT coil. It seemed to work well and it was what everybody else in India was runing. But in truth. Put it on a highlly tuned bike and the spark was too weak. It wasnt really a kit up to my standards. Some people complained of poor runing on their tuned bikes. This is what prompted the development of the present Analogue CDI and Digital CDI much latter.

To make it right any customer with an early CDI kit or first batch can avail of a free upgrade to our performance analogue CDI which works much better. Or they can upgrade to our digital CDI for disconted rates.
With the analogue and latter the digital I feel confident and proud of the way it runs. Unlike the early kits.

3. First Pro CDI to UK customer Glen.
As with any first releases there can be some glitches maybe we didnt test it enoughf. Why I have this doubt. Cause he never got back to me saying he was happy with the kit. I expect each and every customer to come back with a smile. And something positive about the kit. If they dont then there is something wrong.
If he is indeed unhappy my offer to ship him the latest digital II CDI free still stands. (I think I did send him one anyway).

4. Mad Max's RD rebuild.
He came he checked out the bike he said he was happy and thriled with the bike but could never get it to run right.
He sold all the parts to India Chief. And I will prove that the same barrels, head and chambers will run flawlessly. Some people just cant handle complex issues like jeting and I cant jet for a dffirent city siting in Bangalore.

5. The first RZ Pro CDI sent to germany. We had not used the new ferite cores. We thought that the ferite plus source would give a good spark.
Also we missed out on the point that if you ran wasted spark the PV would only see half RPM and not work. Sent it out without enough testing.
Customer didnt like it. We refunded him the money.
Now we have new ferites that put out twice the juice + I ve our CDI runing on a RZ in bangalore for the last 2 months. We sorted out the wasted spark issue and we droped the idea of using the source coils. By going fully ferite we solved all the problems.
But the customer was good. Tried his best to make it work. And when it didnt happen we just seteled with a refund.

6. Goods not recived. Once we recived a complaint that CDI kit was not recived. We had shiped to the address linked to the paypal payment. Which was a wrong address. We had recived a request to ship to another address. But to protect our selfs we have to ship to the address linked to the payment. Anyway it ended happilly with the pkg being traced and delivered. Please use your correct address when seting up a paypal account. Or ask us first if we are willing to ship to a diffirent address.

Other than these few instances I cant remember any transactions that where not good. In the 6-7 years RDD has been seling parts.

There have been some bogus complaints against us. Like somebody bought something one ebay not direct from us and it turned out to be defective. I stil offered to ship him and anybody else who wanted to test our product.

If your an unhappy camper and want your name listed here too.
Please feel free to mail me.

Ron I really appreciate the way you deal with your customers.

You simply asked me to take a refund(for no fault of yours) for the reeds which were broken by the courier guys.

As per my personal experience dealing with RDD has always been upto or exceeded the mark
