I have the 88 KB which I am doing up. (just a little).

Currently the paint job is almost done. Porting is done (mild porting, not much can be done for a street setup I guess), pulsar front end is going in, Probably light weight aluminium rims, Pulsar gas shocks.

Next step is to add Chinoy Filter. Don't know how much gain is going to come from that. It should take 2 to 4 weeks. Been too busy and wasn't able to finish up.

Will post pics once it's done.

I thought chinoy had posted up long back that KB liners were too hard to port or something like that

Can be done. It's just that as from what I know it eats up the tools and the barrell as such doesn't have lot of clearence (is that what it's called)

That's why it's a very mild port and the perf gains are not in the league of Rx. I just wanted my baby to be back and running.

Under me it may look like a scooty

Bullet shocks were never in contest for the KB. They are for my AC. Probably no Expansion chamber as it makes too much noise and too noticeable.

So far the cost run down is as below.

Rs 1600 for Pulsar gas shocks
Rs 2000 for porting job
Rs 6500 for the Pulsar front end (used one at gujli with wire spokes of the 'classic' fame)
Rs 4500 for the paint job
Rs 2000 on miscllenous parts
Probably around Rs 3000 for battery, tires, seat etc
Another Rs 3000 for the mech.

All together rough approximately Rs 25000 for a bike that doesn't cost more than Rs 2000.
