Hey Chinoy,
Ill reserve 50% of my comments till when I can open the throttle.
Riding below 3K rpms used to be a nightmare before I brought in the bike. With no intent on blaming my earlier mechanic' what mattered to me most was to take things constructively forward. With the bike back from you' it rides pretty neatly. Haven't been facing the many issues I have had to while riding on rpms below 3K.
Before bringing in the bike, the bore had then been recently done. With torque very low on the lower rpms I was forced to rev higher and beyond what was advisable. I had issues with the bores heating up severely as well. Several seizers followed. Quite some pushing in traffic and plenty of embarrassing exhaust smoke.
With the decent 'run-in' riding I can now do, I am really looking forward to opening the bike after my 1000Km.
Chinoy, a compliment that you personally deserve is that you are theoretically inclined in very good proportions. I prefer scientific. I have known a few mechanics who are very good' but I am more comfortable when I get explanations than to be told "Don't worry, Ill fix it".

Ridin like it should...
Sad that your previous Mech ruined / wasted one bore size on an orignal barrel.
Im glad you like the low end. Improving a HTs performance under 3000 RPM takes some doing. More than most will realize.
Hope you get to open her up soon. Let us know how it goes and compares to the top end the bike had earlier.

Hey Chinoy, the remaining…
Finally got a chance to open the throttle. I did 140 on the meter comfortably. This was with entering the power band only on gears 5 and 6. With the same riding style I could only get to 120 on the meter earlier. Very obviously you and your works have scored here too.
Great job. Thanks man. And all this with very little talk!
Waiting for a nice stretch to stress all the way. Then again Ill wait another 500~750 kms to get the bore free-er.
I guess Ill get used to the power and be back at your place.
Danny’ shootin up caffeine? Another thing with many mechanics around are that they are dreamy and think/dream of some contraption and believe it will work. And then they say it should’ve worked. Anyway that’s my past and Chinoys packed enough torque for me to enjoy.

Lol sorry Danny boy had to remove that post.
I think somethings go without saying. Everybody knows what the situation is we just arent allowed to say it out lound. Thats the way things have been in the country and thats how they will remain.
Arun mate enjoy your power band. Just remember theres a lot more where that came from. Your at stage1 we still have stages 2-3-4 to go.
Once its run it. Pin it to the redline and flip her thru the gears for a realy buzz.
I want you to have a reliable bike. That lasts. Dosent over heat or jam up. Something that runs cool and fast.

Heard there are rumors around that I have taken my bike elsewhere because I wasn’t happy with your work.
I am glad I didn’t get caught while some bullet expert fastened my RDs silencer nut a month back.
Else : “Chinoys work was so bad that Arun took his RD to a Bullet mechanic”
And before you know it youll get blamed for the bad weather in some south American village that I might land up in because of an air crash.

Its cool guys. I
It seems every body likes to keep tabs about who is geting his bike fixed where. And if one guy jumps from one garage to another its asumed he has had a problem with the previous guy.
Arun discused this with me. And we both felt it would be a good idea to get somebody closer to his place to do the regular maintaince. I really dont want to get into changing oil and cleaning plugs. And would rather focus my attention on the engine. Just about any road side mech can change your oil and do the other regular maintaince.
We discused this and Arun has been geting his bike serviced by somebody closer to home. No big deal. I just get pissed off when people ask me so what happend one of your customers was seen at xxx garage.
Oh well cant be bothered about this crap.
BTW Arun Ive located a good shift shaft for you.
If your still keen give me a call and pick it up on Sunday.
Ill get the welding reinforced just to be sure.

Yo Aru hope you dont mind me re-posting this from the customer section.
At 5000 Kms
went ridin to mangalore on the rd. i pushed the bike to the limits on lower gears in the ghats and rough roads.
nice work on the engine man. unlike the ring road blast you guys do' this was throttle wide open on lower gears for 30-40 minutes' no overheatin issues or drop in power.
