Re: HELLO! From the UK

Welcome aboard. Is this crank's genny side taper the same as the R5/RD350/250/400 points crank taper? If yes, you can look at sourcing the RDD iggy. If the real TA125 crank's genny end taper is the same as the RD125, post a query on Greg Bennett's forum(TZ350.com) and on North American Two Strokes ...

Awesome news matey.

Take good care of the bike and ride it often, ride it hard. Keep it exactly the way Ron has set it.

Cheers.

Re: Hello fellow RD fanatics

Welcome aboard Ian. The 73's were the best of the bunch in my opinion. I hope we'll be able to help you in whatever way we can to bring both those 2T warriors back where they belong - on the road! John Rodenheiser, who runs EconomyCycle will surely be able to give you a good deal on whatever parts ...

Re: 1984 RD350, RDD Engine Rebuild.

Great work bro. Finally you got around to starting it up.

With all the cycle-parts goodies that you have in store for your RD, i'm sure it'll be one helluva looker as well. ;)

Any chance we can hear it growling? Youtube vid?

Good to hear that mate. The ol' rx just got a new lease of life.

Go easy with the advance. You don't want a Saint-like piston(holey).

Re: Thanks to rdd for giving me a high

Didn't know you'd bought Brar's RD.

I had an opportunity to hear it in person when Brar bro paid a visit to my home on it. The exhaust sounded sweet and strong.

Take good care of it! And do put up a vid of it roaring.

Re: Thanks Ron

You really are piling on the miles, Rohit. A while ago we read your 7000km's update and now it's at 30,000!!

What was general maintenance done on the bike during these 30K's? Any ring changes or fresh pistons?

Cheers.

rtz wrote:you cant rebore the kb125 bore its chrome plated
Is it a sleeveless plated bore?

If it has a sleeve and it supports a re-bore , then re-boring shouldn't be an issue. Just a suitable piston is required. You'll just lose the plating.

That is, if a rebore is required in the first place. :)

Welcome aboard Neil. Must be having great exposure to the Mercedes tech in your present assignment. @Sid- Do a compression check on the engine. The 300D is a friggin tank and should serve you well. Plenty of 190's and 300's are worked upon by a specialist garage here in Punjab and they run reliably ...

Re: For those who uses RDD cdi and still crib around.

Can't change the mentality man. It's a psyche thing. To go 'one up' on the other person, easiest way is by denouncing him/her and feeling a high that ''I'' criticized him. And to sick minds, that's a huge kick. There's a funny paradox regarding pricing , atleast where i come from. Guys are willing ...
