Re: This one is not really necessary...but nonetheless..

Oops, I am definitely not running the same NGKs for 85 years as mentioned in the post above, it was a typo!!
Supposed to be 8 years. And yes, the plug tips are a nice dry brown tan, they do not show their age and they still work like a charm.

Re: This one is not really necessary...but nonetheless..

Well bro, I am old man now, I am not confident doing those speeds with the stone-age drum brakes on my RD. OMR is a notorious stretch and I have a wife and kid waiting for me at home :P Maybe he was doing 120 and not 130 - it doesnt matter. All I wanted to say is I am not in it for racing on public ...

Re: RDD CAI on the Zen MPFI

Thanx Ron - I will go with your suggestion of the knob. Well, as you mentioned, will need to figure out how and where to install it. CrazyD, mine is the VXi, so there are switches already on the right side of the steering column - no more slots to install extra switches. On the left side though ...

Re: My RD report card - 3.5 years post dungeon treatment

Dont think we did the bottom end. But if its holding up you dont need to worry. Feed her a little motul (at least 5ml to the ltr and she should be good for a long time to come). You are right, we didnt do the bottom end. But well, it seems to be holding up for now. Will keep a check on it anyways ...

My RD report card - 3.5 years post dungeon treatment

Its been 3.5 years since my RD came out of the dungeon and I owe Ron a report card. So here goes :) Opened up the top end over the past weekend to change the gaskets and the top end bearings. Both barrels perfect - no seizure marks, no discolouration of the barrel walls, ports perfect like they were ...

Excellent Mohith! My experience hasnt been different from yours at all. Mainly city riding and occasional rips on the ECR :D. Those who have ridden on ECR know what it is to rip on a road like that :D Have never had an issue since I picked the bike up from the dungeon. Very similar carb and bike ...
